Tickles my feet

Laughs and runs beside me

It laps up my toes

Sings me songs of peace

The ocean plays with me

Dances beneath the sun

Miles and miles of exuberance

Swaying to its own tune

The ocean plays with me

Reminds me that joy is just under my feet

Right where I stand

The ocean plays with me

Teases my boldness

While I let it overtake me

It laughs and laughs

Silly water

I laugh with the ocean

I stand in its home

As I look out over its shoulders

Waves and beats
